Courtney first laid her eyes upon Joe at the institute opening social her freshman year of college, though Joe claims that he saw her first at a movie over at his dorm.
Courtney thought he was interesting looking and wanted to make him her friend and to make him talk, she knew he had to be fascinating.
Joe thought Courtney was cute.
Joe and Courtney quickly became friends along with Courtney's roommates Shelly and Sarah. One day Shelly asked if Courtney thought he was cute, Courtney said yes; but Courtney was too busy to think much else.
Joe served a mission in Orsono Chile. The two wrote each other for the two years he was out.
When the two years were up Courtney was anticipating Joe's return. She had thoughts about how great it would be to date a friend but did not think anything was going to happen. Joe was nervous about calling Courtney upon his return. Her phone rang with an unknown number and she figured she should probably answer it because it was probably someone from church.
"Hi this is Joseph." They talked for a while and Courtney quickly made the decision to drive down and see Joe
Shelly and Courtney have made a tradition of throwing themed birthday parties and threw one for Joe. The theme was mistborn (book trilogy). One of the activities of the night was going to a fun center; Courtney kept close to Joe the whole time, Joe claims that she was flirting with him all night long. Before the birthday party even occurred Joe came up to visit and was all over Courtney. Courtney thought to herself, "Does this boy know what he is doing? I don't mind but does he know?"
The day after the birthday party Courtney had a German history paper due the next day for university. Shelly and Joe helped her edit her paper...
Now folks this is where it officialy all began.
The paper was being edited on a laptop and at some point that laptop was transfered all the way to Shelly, with Joe in the middle. Well, naturally, Courtney leaned on Joe (to see better, she claims). Naturally Joe started cuddling with Courtney.
From there on, they were dating.
Courtney wasn't sure how that would work out with school, but the next day confirmed their course as she and Joe continued working on the paper and attached their own meaning to the phrase "studying german history".
Sadly, when Joe next returned to Logan, he was "sick" and threw Courtney's hand away from his because "hands are the dirtiest place on the body." Joe's resolution to keep Courtney from getting sick faded quickly as Courtney continued her romantic advances.
Since then, there's hardly been a day where they havn't seen each other.
They fell in love, and they got married.
Well, they will soon.
